Ryan Looper is a beverage industry veteran who has been connecting top-tier New York City businesses to distinctive wines, spirits, and ciders from around the world since 2007. Ryan has a deep understanding of the wine-producing regions of western Europe and an extensive network of contacts there. A trained opera singer, Ryan holds a Master’s in Music from Boston University.
Simon GC is a veteran of the New York City restaurant landscape, having worked for Bobby Flay and Laurence Kretchmer as beverage director at Mesa Grill, Bar Americain and Gato. Simon specializes in Spanish wine and is particularly enamored with the creative and engaging wines coming out of modern Galicia. Before landing in wine, Simon worked in Options Trading on the NY Mercantile Exchange trading floor and as a political reporter after receiving a journalism degree from Brooklyn College.
Simon has taught Spain modules for the American Sommelier Association and consulted on beverage programs from fine dining to airport hospitality. When he’s not working, you’re likely to find him on the softball field, at a poker table or at home with his amazing wife Arielle and son Miles.
Kristen has dedicated herself to the food and wine industry throughout her professional career. After spending 15 years in service industry waiting tables, working retail, curating wines lists, and everything in between, Kristen joined the De Maison selections team in 2017 and has worked behind the scenes since. She will now be taking her knowledge of wine, sales, and regulatory matters to DME, where she will run the day to day operations. Her special skills include infusing all business interactions with her natural sense of hospitality and being able to find the ideal pizza to pair with any wine.
Annie Beebe-Tron is a cocktail collaborator, service professional, and beverage consultant. They explore global and nature-inspired cocktails, socially conscious hospitality, queer and femme community building, and contemporary art. Annie came to De Maison Selections in 2019 as a multidisciplinary artist and curator with an MFA from the School of the Art Institute in Chicago, which they use as the inspiration for their inventive cocktail menus and passion for story-focused experiences. Annie leads the De Maison Spirits program throughout the US.
Originally from Upstate New York, Noah spent four years in Galicia and La Rioja, Spain, where he honed his knowledge of Spanish wine, food, and culture. Upon returning to the US, he joined the De Maison East team. Prior to getting his start in the wine world, he received a degree in Vocal Performance from SUNY Geneseo.
Russell ran the beverage program and full daily operations of Brick Farm Tavern in Hopewell, NJ, developed recipes, programming and was the director of the Tasting Room operations at Bellemara Distillery in Hillsborough, NJ and worked as the Retail Operations Manager at Stockton Fine Wines.
