Viña Sastre is an iconic, family-run winery in the heart of Ribera del Duero, famous for making long-lived, elegantly structured reds from old-vine Tempranillo grown near the Duero river. Sastre’s estate pagos are La Horra, Valdelayuegua, Valera, Carraroa, Carranguix and Santa Cruz at 800-900m near the town of La Horra. Sastre handcrafts classic wines through natural farming methods, fermenting exclusively with native yeasts. Viña Sastre’s Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo sourced from 20- to 65-year-old vines grown in chalky clay soils.
