Rare Releases for Sherry Week

#SherryWeek runs November 2nd through the 8th, during which bars, restaurants, and venues the world over feature pairings, tastings, cocktails, and education focused on sherry culture. Celebrating its 13th year, its the largest global event featuring these incredible wines.

Accompanying this occasion once again is our annual Rare Sherry Offer, we bring you iconic, classic styles from the region that formed the very backbone of the wine trade centuries ago, establishing maritime shipping routes and international commerce through fortified wine. These producers (and their stores of very old wine in very old barrels) have stood the test of time, playing an integral role in the gastronomic heritage of their cultures, and far beyond. The seldom-released, historic wines from these four Sherry houses represent some of the finest offerings available from this special corner of Andalucía. Extremely limited in their production, they are bottled only once a year, in tiny quantities, from true almacenista soleras that have never been moved or blended with any wines from outside the bodegas. Old solera Sherries are among the most intriguing and transportative wines in the world, and these bottlings represent the pinnacle of winemaking in their respective towns.

To further support our partners in sherry education and appreciation, we’ve also updated our helpful Sherry Field Guide, full of concise category-specific content, and details on the bodegas we are proud to call friends and partners.
