Viña Sastre Pago de Santa Cruz Gran Reserva 2012

Viña Sastre Pago de Santa Cruz Gran Reserva

Every few years a remarkable vintage comes around and Jesus commemorates it with a Gran Reserva version of his Pago de Santa Cruz.

Vinification Aged for 30 months in 1 to 3 year old oak (65% French and 35% American) barrels ranging in size from 225L to 1,000L.

Tasting Notes The wine shows an abundance of color with violet tones and sweet tannins with perfectly ripe black and red fruits. The palate is balanced between alcohol, acid and high-quality tannins. Complex aromas of truffles, earth, and spices. All of these characteristics and the excellent harvest itself suggest a long aging potential for the very long 2011.
