Doniene Gorrondona 2015 Harvest
In the Bakio valley, winter hung around until mid-March, delaying bud-break until early April. The rest of spring was warm and sunny, very favorable to the vineyards. Summer was particularly odd: July was hot, but August and September quite cool. The onset of ripening only happened in third week of August.
Harvest started September 17th and went through October 10th. A team of 16 harvesters worked through the parcels successively; there were great differences in ripening rates between sites. Potential alcohol levels for the 2015 are between 11.2 and 13.4%.
