Joan d'Anguera 2013 Harvest
For the Anguera brothers, the 2013 harvest is the best they’ve ever done. They are finally starting to see the results of their biodynamic methods: the plants are interacting with the soils and the environment in a new way, allowing the wines to express the subtleties of the different sites more fully.
The Syrah for Bugader was harvested on August 28th, with probable alcohol level at 13.2% and acidity at 5.7g/L.
The Granatxa from Argata was harvested on the 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th, and 11th of September, with probable alcohol level between 13.6 and 14.1% and acidity between 5.1 and 5.6g/L.
The Granatxa for Altaroses was harvested on the 4th, 10th, 11th, 12th, and 17th of September, with probable alcohol level between 13.7 and 14.2% and acidity between 5 and 5.4g/L.
The Syrah for Argata was harvested on the 13th and 16th of September with probable alcohol level at 13.8% and acidity at 6g/L.
The Syrah for Planella was harvested on the 12th of September with probable alcohol level at 14.2% and acidity at 5.6g/L.
The Carinyena for Planella was harvested on the 16th, 21st, and 22nd of September, with probable alcohol level between 14.2 and 14.4% and acidity at 6.1g/L.
