Doniene Gorrondona 2013 Harvest
This was a very atypical year in the Bakio valley. May and June in particular were notable for low temperatures and rain that affected the development of the fruit. Most importantly, this entailed a reduction of yields of 40 to 50% in some of the more precocious parcels, with flowering occurring about a month later than normal.
Luckily, conditions got better as the summer went on. The winds picked up in September and kept up, which ensured that the grapes stayed in good health. In the end the grapes matured wonderfully. Harvest began on October 9th and ended October 23rd.
