Nicolas Badel Condrieu 2013

Nicolas Badel Condrieu

Nicolas Badel’s Condrieu plot is located in a protected hollow near the river in Limony. The vines in this half-hectare parcel range from 13 to 30 years old.

Vinification Fermentation of the wine starts in stainless steel but is then finished in barrel for slow fermentation. It is aged in a combination of new (20%) and 1 and 2-year-old barrels.

Tasting Notes Very spry and light for a Condrieu while staying true to the character of the appellation, this wine manages to be both rich and nervy at once. A well-integrated, light touch of wood brings out the minerality and lengthens the finish.
