Viña Sastre Crianza 2012
Viña Sastre’s Crianza is made from 100% Tempranillo sourced from 20 to 65-year-old vines grown in chalky clay soils.
Vinification The wine was aged 18 months in new French oak barrels, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
Tasting Notes Still evolving, this wine will probably drink best starting in 2016. On the nose, it's unmistakeably Tempranillo. Lots of complex flavors here: exotic spicy notes (cedar, cinnamon, black pepper) as well as meat, blueberries, and red bell peppers. This is an elegant wine, with a sense of restrained power and a very long finish.
